General Information

Standard Visiting Hours

To reduce possible exposure to COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses, the public health department has advised Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center to take precautionary measures in order to secure the safety of our patients, staff, and visitors. Since it is difficult to determine who may be contagious – people can be contagious without prior knowledge of the incident and not show symptoms right away -  these policy restrictions are applied to all visitors and hospital inpatient units until further notice.

We recognize that this may cause some hardship to our patients and their families and ask for your patience and understanding. We would be remiss if we did not take steps to help minimize the spread of serious illness. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to protect the safety of our patients. Maternity Patients and NICU parents: Please see updates below for information on the entrance we have provided for you and your support person.

NO VISITORS are allowed with the following exceptions:

Adults over the age of 18 only
NICU - One parent at a time

Maternity Entrance - effective April 1, 2020

In an ongoing effort to protect the health and safety of our maternity patients during the COVID-19 outbreak, we have designated a separate entrance for maternity patients and their visitors.

The new Maternity Entrance is located on Miller Street (look for the awning and banner over the maternity entrance doors), with designated parking in the hospital lot at the Miller Street side of the hospital. The entrance is open 24/7 via an intercom. As an additional measure of safety, all patients and visitors entering through the maternity entrance will have their temperature screened by our staff.

Our temporary visitors policy is as follows:

• No one under the age of 18
• Maternity patients may have 1 designated support person for their stay
• NICU parents only may visit one at a time

We hope the new, private entrance will offer you a level of comfort during this difficult time. We’re here for you, and we look forward to delivering your bestBeginning!
