Q: Why does Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center need to raise private funds?

A: As the only not-for-profit hospital in Riverside, Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center’s mission has remained steadfast since it was established in 1958: To provide accessible, quality healthcare that meets the needs of the community.  To accomplish this mission, the Center relies on Parkview Community Hospital Foundation to encourage philanthropic support to help meet the ever-changing healthcare needs of the community.    

Q: Can I restrict my gift to Parkview Community Hospital Foundation?

A:  Yes.  While an unrestricted gift that can be directed to the areas of greatest need is always recommended, your gift to Parkview Community Hospital Foundation can be designated to the program or department of your choice. 

Q: Is my contribution to Parkview Community Hospital Foundation tax deductible?

A:  Yes.  Parkview Community Hospital Foundation is a not-for-profit organization designated by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 charitable organization.  Your contribution is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Q: In what form can investments be made through Parkview Community Hospital Foundation?

A:  Gifts to Parkview Community Hospital Foundation can be made in the form of cash, securities, personal properties, or other assets.  The Ways to Give page on our website describes many of these opportunities in greater detail.  We encourage you to discuss these opportunities with your professional advisors and with Foundation staff to determine which kind of donation best suits your circumstances.

Q: Are legacy gift opportunities available through Parkview Community Hospital Foundation?

A:  Yes.  Named gift opportunities are being developed by the Foundation.  This offers an excellent way to make an investment in honor of a colleague, friend, family member, or professional.  In addition, the Founders Society recognizes individuals who name the Foundation as a beneficiary in their will or estate plan. 

Q: Will Parkview Community Hospital Foundation accept multi-year pledges?

A:  Yes.  Parkview Community Hospital Foundation accepts pledges of one to five years.  This often allows a donor to make a more significant investment than might be possible with a one-time donation.
