The staff at Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center is committed to providing expectant mothers and their new babies the very best of care.

With personalized service, education and training, the staff at Parkview is dedicated to ensuring that your entire experience at Parkview is a pleasurable one.

Parkview is proud to be able to provide these free classes and tours in an effort to promote healthy mothers and babies throughout the Riverside Community.

All classes are held in the Founderís Center located directly across from the Hospital Entrance.

All classes are free of charge.

Please call 951-352-5437 to register. You must register for each class you would like to take as space is limited.

Please bring the following to these classes:
Childbirth Class: 2 bed pillows and a blanket.
Baby Basics: A doll or stuffed animal
Breast Feeding: A doll or stuffed animal and a pillow or Boppy.

2nd Tuesday of the Month 2013

Time: 6:30pm-9:00pm
Class Description: This class is offered once a month. This class provides instruction in caring for the newborn while in the hospital and after you are home. Topics include: newborn appearance, umbilical cord care, breathing, feeding, diapering, and how to tell when your baby is ill.

4th Tuesday of the Month 2013

Time: 6:30-9:00pm
Class Description: This class is offered once a month. This class covers the information needed to get mom and baby off to a great start with breastfeeding. Topics covered include benefits of breastfeeding, proper position and latch to avoid breastfeeding problems and how to breastfeed and return to work.

Class Description: These classes are offered every month in a series of four classes, once a week. The class covers the following topics: introduction to childbirth, anatomy and physiology, relaxation and breathing techniques of contractions, true vs. false labor and when to come to the hospital.

Every Monday of the Month 2013
 Time: 9:00-10:30am, English; 11:00-12:30pm, Spanish
Class Description: Are you pregnant or parenting and suffering from symptoms of anxiety, depression or stress? You are not alone. This free group provides support, resouces, a listening ear and a connection to other mothers and mother-to-be experiencing similar feelings.

Better Breather's Club

Founder's Center in the Dailey Room

Class Description:
Better Breathers Clubs (BBC) is a core program and resource of the American Lung Association in California. The purpose of the club is to offer patient-centered, community-based educational oppurtunites and support to persons with chronic lung disease (especially COPD, but also asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis [IPF], lung cancer, and other chronic lung diseases). These support groups meet regularly to give participants tips and techniques to help manage their disease.
