Gentle Chair Yoga

Join us for a FREE gentle chair yoga class led by certified yoga instructor Abhi Dalal. While you learn a series of postures, you’ll focus on mindfulness and moving with your breath. All poses are modified for sitting in a chair or using a chair for balance. This class is perfect for seniors or those with limited mobility. Please wear comfortable clothes and let your instructor know of any health conditions that are of concern. Drop-ins are welcome! *No classes in December due to holiday events*

Baby Basics Class (Every 2nd Tuesday)

This is a two hour class offered once a month and provides instruction on caring for the newborn while in the hospital and after you go home. Topics include newborn appearance, breathing, feeding, diapering, how to tell when your baby is ill and umbilical cord care. Please bring a doll or stuffed animal to class for practice. Online registration is highly encouraged. This class fills up quickly and may not be able to accommodate walk-ins.

Healthy Living - Diabetes Education Classes

This free educational class is led by a certified dietitian. In addition to following you doctor's instructions, you'll learn tips and techniques for managing diabetes through diet, exercise, and healthy lifestyle changes. Spanish translator available.

Arthritis Exercise Class

A FREE weekly* exercise class that is designed for people with arthritis and improves health and well-being. Each session is led by a Physical Therapy Assistant who monitors participants and modifies the exercises according to individual abilities. Drop-ins welcome. No registration is necessary. Better Breather's Club

November meeting: Wednesday, November 13. December Holiday Party: Tuesday, December 10 11am-1pm. Better Breathers Clubs (BBC) is a core program and resource of the American Lung Association in California. The purpose of the club is to offer patient-centered, community-based educational oppurtunites and support to persons with chronic lung disease (especially COPD, but also asthma, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis [IPF], lung cancer, and other chronic lung diseases). These support groups meet regularly to give participants tips and techniques to help manage their disease. December's meeting is a combined holiday party with our exercise classes - please see flyer for date.

Bariatric Information Sessions & Support Groups

Bariatric Information Sessions and Bariatric Support Groups are held in our Founder's Center. We also offer a no-cost Bridge Program, designed to educate and support patients who are contemplating weight loss surgery. This program includes an initial interview where you will meet our program coordinator, and nutrition consultations with our registered dietitian. About the Foundation

Parkview Community Hospital Foundation was established in 1973 by the Hospital Board of Directors and other concerned citizens who shared a commitment to meeting the growing healthcare needs of the greater Riverside region. 

In 2019, Parkview Community Hospital was acquired by Doctors Hospital of Riverside LLC (DHOR), an affiliate of AHMC Healthcare Inc., a for-profit organization. The Parkview Legacy Foundation was established, and DHOR and AHMC have committed to donate $10 million to the Parkview Legacy Foundation over time.

Knowing that health and wellness begin in the places we live work and play and that we all do better when everyone thrives, the Parkview Legacy Foundation is embarking on an exciting expansion of our scope of work to benefit our service area including the communities surrounding Riverside, Jurupa Valley, Eastvale, Corona, Lake Elsinore, Perris, and Moreno Valley.

Expanded partnerships throughout the fields of healthcare, education, business, non-profit, municipality, and philanthropy will drive our collective success.
