Information

Parkview Community Hospital is working with Riverside County Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to respond to any potential COVID-19 cases in our area. We will continue to screen all patients entering our facility for signs and symptom of communicable diseases and implement infection prevention and control practices to protect our patients, visitors and staff. We are in close communication with the CDC and World Health Organization and follow their recommendations to ensure patient safety.

Arthritis Exercise Classes at the Renck Center

In compliance with CDC recommendations, we have cancelled all events until further notice to minimize the possible exposure to COVID-19. For more information, please visit www.cdc.gov. For future classes: Join us for gentle chair exercises to help increase mobility and relieve joint pain. All classes are held indoors at the Renck Community Center at Hunt Park, and are led by a certified instructor from Parkview who monitors participants and modifies exercises according to individual ability. Please bring a water bottle, wear comfortable clothes and let your instructor know of any health conditions that are of concern.

Breastfeeding Basics

In compliance with CDC recommendations, we have cancelled all in-person events until further notice to minimize the possible exposure to COVID-19. For more information, please visit www.cdc.gov. Please also visit our Women's and Children's Services page for a virtual tour and important information on COVID-19. For future classes: This is a two-hour class offered once a month. The class covers the information needed to get mom and baby off to a great start for breastfeeding. Topics covered include benefits of breastfeeding, proper position and latch to avoid breastfeeding problems, and how to breastfeed and return to work. Please bring a doll or stuffed animal to class for practice. Online registration is highly encouraged. This class fills up quickly and may not be able to accommodate walk-ins.

TAI CHI at the Renck Center

A FREE weekly* exercise class that improves health and well-being. Tai-Chi can relieve pain, reduce falls, and improve the quality of your life. Each session is led by a Physical Therapy Assistant who monitors participants and modifies the exercises according to individual abilities. Drop-ins welcome. No registration is necessary. For more information call 951-688-2211 x1259. All classes are held indoors at the Renck Center at Hunt Park, next door to the hospital campus.

Gentle Chair Yoga

Join us for a FREE gentle chair yoga class led by certified yoga instructor Abhi Dalal. This class is multi-dynamic and includes elements of physical exercise, mindfulness and meditation. It’s perfect for seniors, those with limited mobility, office workers and yogis who want to experience something new. All poses are modified for sitting in a chair or using a chair for balance. Join us for this free class and treat yourself to relief, energy and clarity! Please bring a water bottle, wear comfortable clothes and let your instructor know of any health conditions that are of concern. Drop-ins are welcome. Classes are held at the Founders Center. Please arrive early for best parking.

About the Foundation

Parkview Community Hospital Foundation was established in 1973 by the Hospital Board of Directors and other concerned citizens who shared a commitment to meeting the growing healthcare needs of the greater Riverside region. 

In 2019, Parkview Community Hospital was acquired by Doctors Hospital of Riverside LLC (DHOR), an affiliate of AHMC Healthcare Inc., a for-profit organization. The Parkview Legacy Foundation was established, and DHOR and AHMC have committed to donate $10 million to the Parkview Legacy Foundation over time.

Knowing that health and wellness begin in the places we live work and play and that we all do better when everyone thrives, the Parkview Legacy Foundation is embarking on an exciting expansion of our scope of work to benefit our service area including the communities surrounding Riverside, Jurupa Valley, Eastvale, Corona, Lake Elsinore, Perris, and Moreno Valley.
