October 1 through November 15, 2019 Parkview Community Hospital is offering $89 screening mammograms to qualified women. Must be 40 years of age or older. Must have a physician’s order. Women who are pregnant, nursing, have breast implants or silicone injections, or had/have breast cancer or current breast problems are ineligible for this program. Arthritis Exercise Class

A FREE weekly* exercise class that is designed for people with arthritis and improves health and well-being. Each session is led by a Physical Therapy Assistant who monitors participants and modifies the exercises according to individual abilities. Drop-ins welcome. No registration is necessary. When the Bough Breaks: A Documentary About Postpartum Depression

Community members, new and expecting parents and professionals are encouraged to join us in viewing a film that uncovers an issue affecting one in five new mothers after childbirth. The film will be immediately followed by a Q&A with an expert panel and a discussion about resources and strategies for improving maternal mental health. A complimentary light dinner will be served. Due to sensitive material, this documentary may not be suitable for all ages.

Child Birth Classes

These classes are offered every month in a series of three classes, once a week. The classes cover the following topics: introduction to childbirth, anatomy and physiology, relaxation and breathing techniques of contractions, true vs. false labor and when to come to the hospital.

About the Foundation

Parkview Community Hospital Foundation was established in 1973 by the Hospital Board of Directors and other concerned citizens who shared a commitment to meeting the growing healthcare needs of the greater Riverside region. 

In 2019, Parkview Community Hospital was acquired by Doctors Hospital of Riverside LLC (DHOR), an affiliate of AHMC Healthcare Inc., a for-profit organization. The Parkview Legacy Foundation was established, and DHOR and AHMC have committed to donate $10 million to the Parkview Legacy Foundation over time.

Knowing that health and wellness begin in the places we live work and play and that we all do better when everyone thrives, the Parkview Legacy Foundation is embarking on an exciting expansion of our scope of work to benefit our service area including the communities surrounding Riverside, Jurupa Valley, Eastvale, Corona, Lake Elsinore, Perris, and Moreno Valley.

Expanded partnerships throughout the fields of healthcare, education, business, non-profit, municipality, and philanthropy will drive our collective success.
