LABOR & DELIVERY

Come celebrate a very special birthday with us -- your child’s. The Women and Children’s Center at Parkview offers you the best of both worlds. We provide you with a comfortable, homelike environment during your labor, delivery, and recovery, and your family is encouraged to participate and share with you during the birthing experience. We also provide you with experienced nurses who have specialized training to ensure the highest quality of care for you and your baby. Many of our staff has been with Parkview Women and Children’s Center for more than ten years! By using state-of-the art technology, our nurses and physicians will be able to monitor you and your baby throughout the entire birthing process. We also have newborn specialty physicians (board-certified neonatologists) to care for your baby should the need arise.

After you have recovered from delivery of your new baby, we have more options for you. If you prefer to rest or shower, your infant can be taken to our Newborn nursery where our experienced and specialized nurses will care for you baby until you are ready. If you choose to keep your baby at your bedside our nurses will accommodate you.

Our goal is to do everything we can to help make this special birth day of your child a special and most memorable experience.

EDUCATION PROGRAM

Parkview offers a wide range of free prenatal and postpartum classes along with maternity tours and showers for our patients. These include:

Maternity orientation and hospital tour
Childbirth and parenting education
Early pregnancy
Breastfeeding
