Breastfeeding
Parkview Community Hospital supports and encourages breastfeeding. Newborns that are breastfed receive more health benefits than those who are only bottle-fed with formula. It can protect your baby from infections (Diarrhea, Respiratory Infections, etc.) better and boost one’s antibody level. Overall, breastfeeding is great to promote health because there are some situations when nature will always provide top-quality nourishment.
Our lactation counselors are available in the mother baby unit to educate and assist you with breastfeeding and answer any questions you may have.
A Lactation Clinic is available should you have questions or need any support once you leave the hospital.
